Media release: UK NARIC ADDS TO IMM QUALIFICATIONS RECOGNITION

All qualifications provided by the IMM Graduate School of Marketing have been registered with UK National Information Centre ( UK NARIC), a move that provides instant industry-specific recognition for those applying to work in the United Kingdom .

UK NARIC, which serves a similar purpose to the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA), is responsible for verifying international qualifications that are accredited by a national government, comparing them with specific levels within the United Kingdom 's education system. It is the only official information provider on the comparability of international qualifications from over 180 countries worldwide, and provides the essential assistance in skills integration and progressions towards employment and further studies in the United Kingdom .

"This registration with UK NARIC is excellent news for our students. When applying for work permits in the UK they are now able to provide the UK NARIC recognition of their IMM qualification," said academic head, Jane Usher

"Together with the Chartered Institute of Marketing and the Australian Marketing Institute, we now have further recognition that makes our qualifications so highly regarded."

"Most Commonwealth countries accept the IMM GSM qualifications, which include Canada , Australia and Singapore . We have a formal understanding with institutes in those regions concerning our qualifications, and keep them informed of our standards and any course updates. A large number of our graduates have gained entry to these countries on the strength of their IMM Diploma, placing them in a position to gain employment in a relevant field. We also maintain contact with the American Marketing Association, but owing to the complexity of their education system in the USA , have more work to do in developing a more formal relationship."

The IMM Graduate School of Marketing is also a registered provider of the Services Sector Education and Training Authority (SSETA), which in turn is a fully registered member of the European Marketing Confederation (EMC).
