I have a certificate in Retail Marketing (IMM GSM), would I get exemptions for the Diploma in Marketing Management (IMM GSM)?

As long as you have written and passed the modules in the last 5 years you can apply for exemptions for:

  1. Marketing 1
  2. Marketing Communications 2
  3. Business Communication 1
  4. Retail Marketing

May students register any single modules?

Yes. The pre-requisite rule per module must be met.

Do students have to complete Macro Economics first before Micro Economics?

No, but Economics 101 is a prerequisite to Economics 201

May the IMM GSM provide foreign students with a letter to be provided to the Department of Home Affairs for Study Permit purposes?

  1. No. The IMM GSM is registered as a distance learning institution and there is no need to attend lectures in the Republic of South Africa, thus the IMM GSM will not provide such a letter.

Are Diploma in Marketing (IMM GSM) graduates required to complete access modules to apply for the Postgrad Dip MM?

No. There is no need for access modules. The Admission Panel will evaluate each application on merit.

Must BBAM students complete access modules when going to B.Phil?

  1. Not if a student has completed the IMM GSM BBAM in under 5 years.
  2. Marketing 303 will need to be registered for if the degree was completed 5 - 10 years ago

Will M.Phil students have a payment plan for fees?

  1. Applications for a payment plan must be submitted. A response will be provided within seven days.
  2. Payment will be required at the commencement of the MPhil studies and the remaining 50% must be paid for over the next 12 months.
  3. Students may pay over 3 semesters (See prospectus for fee structure)

May a student register for access modules to the B.Phil Honours as well as B.Phil Honours modules in two semesters?

No, access modules must be passed before any BPhil modules may be attempted

What Student Support fee is payable if undergraduate access modules (e.g. access modules from IMM GSM Diploma in Marketing to B.Phil (Hons) are to be completed?
